Champions of Tomorrow 2018 Saturday 6th January Couples Events
It was an early start on what was the second day of competitions, Saturday 6th January 2018, in the most beautiful Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens at Blackpool.
The day started with the childrens sections, and this year, CDS came away with making all their finals.
Congratulations to Enrique and Paulina for your first ever Champions of Tomorrow being together such a short period of time and making both your Ballroom & Latin Finals in the Juvenile Beginners sections out of 34 entries in each.
Top 6 guys!!! Top job, well done.
The evening adults section proceeded from strength to strength, with CDS pupils coming out raring to go! It was a day full of packed events, and I am sure, entries this year must of exceeded that of any previous years, the numbers of entries were outstanding.
Special Congratulations to all our pupils who made semis and finals, but an extra special well done must go to our CHAMPS 2018 WINNERS in the 035 years PRE CHAMP LATIN Section - Roy Foster & Ashley Flores!
Fantastic result guys!
Special mentions go to our other finalists, Ian and Kirsty who made their Ballroom Final int he U35 Beginners section, Matt & Julie making both their finals in the Ballroom & Latin O35 Beginners sections, and to Rod & Jane making their Latin O45 Beginners Finals.
It goes without saying that making the Semi Final in these competitions is also no small feat especially when there are so many rounds due of the record breaking entries. Making the quarter and semi finals was very difficult in the Pre-champ section this year, well done to James and Sophie making the Ballroom Semi Final and to Bradley and Lucy after being together only 5 weeks made it into the Semi Finals, definitely Champions of the Tomorrow! Watch this space?
We are so very proud of you all.
Thank you to Nigel Horrocks Chairman of the Dance Promotors Association (DPA) and his excellent team for a wonderful weekend and smooth running event. Certainly an invigorating way to start the new year!
